The task

The painting is part of the projects ‘Corpi in transito‘ that was created with the intention of reflecting on certain dynamics that characterize interpersonal relationships now a day. Using a simple almost geometric figuration, the paintings present imaginary scenarios in which title, context, and characters help delineate characteristics or situations that relate to the difficulties of human relationships within a society of images and consumption. The Task is a symbolic representation of the difficulties faced in trying to build a stable and lasting relationship in the age of dating apps and in a society that seems to foster a short circuit of values, simultaneously exalting family and career as essential pillars of full personal fulfillment. The painting alludes to an attempt to reach each other but also almost to a challenge between two predators who study each other from afar before acting.
